Strawberry Smoothie Swirl - “Smoothie” needs no introduction. You may recognize her from Tiktok or even the Breyer horse model for the Pony of America. She’s won more ribbons in more disciplines than almost any other pony I could imagine. Oh and before I go farther, yes she has an auto change. And no, let’s be clear: her papers will always have my name on them and my farm is her retirement home with all the friends she’s grown up with over the last decade. BUT, my youngest is growing by the day and it's time for her to take another little girl or boy to the winner’s circle.
Smoothie is a 13.2 HH Pony of America (POA) mare. She has a hack winning trot whether you're in the hunter arena or the breed show arena. You can do a full body clip without sedation, she stands for braiders like a polite lady should. Smoothie wears four shoes because she’s a princess. We typically ride her in a snaffle. She is incredibly child tolerant - literally my children have been hanging on her since they were toddlers and she is forgiving, patient and overall kind. Smoothie will watch over your kids but she can’t be turned out with other horses because she is not so patient with other equines!
Smoothie just got her yearly tune up and vet check. She is sound and has minimal maintenance. She gets injections when needed, about once a year and she just had her hocks done. She’s an easy keeper but no metabolic issues. Smoothie gets tums at horse shows for treats and gastroguard for long trailer rides. Of course she’s up to date on everything.
Smoothie is for lease to an individual working with a reputable trainer and planning on competing in events from cross rails to short stirrup. She cannot make the step for the Large Pony division though she measures as a large. Smoothie would do best with a little rider who wants to compete and learn the ropes from ground poles up to short stirrup.
Smoothie is available for lease at the end of October. She is available to try at our personal facility in Carrollton, Georgia.
